Wreckless Eric Radio Show #37

FRIDAY, AUGUST 16, 2013
A man with a blocked-up ear struggles gamely on. Simon & Garfunkel, Jarvis Cocker, David Greenberger, The Chrome Cranks, Chuck Prophet and a whole array of electronical swoops and bleeps (plus a discourse on the idiocies of the silly sod who wrote the sleeve notes for a John Barry album and couldn't see a good thing when it was staring him in the face) are just some of the treats this poor, deaf blighter is missing.
Due to the limitations of technology you probably won't be able to listen to the show and look at the track listing at the same time but that's how it should be - one has to embrace the element of surprise. The tech savvy (I hate that term) amongst you will be able to download the show by performing some sort of ambidextrous clicking action on the download file below (right click save link as...) The rest of you will just have to do your best to keep up.
If you want to leave a comment I'm sure it's quite easy, and the feedback would be appreciated even if it merely serves to give me something to feel self-righteous about.
You can just leave it in the box provided.
And if you need visual divertisment while you're listening go to wrecklessericpaintings.com

The Ipcress File is a dental tool used by The Swingle Singers to keep their teeth in tune.

And it's surely no coincidence that the first two letters of the word Ipcress look like LP as in Long Player. The Swingle Singers could never abide having cress in between their teeth when they were recording an album. It's well documented. Well, it is now...

Enjoyed the show, Eric a couple interesting memories (Steve Miller tune 40 year redux ! - couldn't put my finger on it) And lots of interesting unfamiliar things.
Especially like the second song, it fit Richard Cory like a glove.

Great to have new shows!
As entertaining as ever but, disappointingly, I have to listen on the computer as, for some reason unknown, I cannot download the mp3 file...

Yes, this is miles ahead of the turds who inhabit national radio. I heard that daft **** Jo Whiley ask who Frank Zappa was once... totally pathetic.

Keep up the good work Eric (wonders if he'll bite my head off like he did B Bragg the other day)... I'm unfortunately gigging the day you reform the Len Bright Combo, I'd have liked to have seen that.

I met a geezer in Berlin (married to my friend now, I think...) swore blind that you're dead. I argued otherwise, but he wasn't having any of it!

Maybe I should track him down and shove this radio show in his face.

Keep up not being dead. Cheers Eric.

Hi--I've recently discovered your site and am working through all of your shows which I am thoroughly enjoying!! The music is superb and haven't heard a dud song yet (well maybe one or two).
I hope you reactivate the show sometime in the (very) near future.
Thanks & best wishes from New Zealand.
